3 ways to Spring Clean Your Website

It's time to Spring Clean Your Website!

Freshen up your website without doing a whole redesign. 3 simple ways to keep your web content feeling fresh and new for repeat visitors.

Spring is a season of awakening, and we can apply this spirit to our websites as well. How do you spring clean your website? By reviewing the timeliness and relevance of posted content to align with your website goals, and then making a plan to update or edit content to keep your visitors engaged.

If this project sounds daunting to you, don’t worry. You don’t have to redo your whole website to make an impact.

Here’s the top 3 things you can do to freshen up your web content:

  1. Have new blog or news content? Tease it in your home page banner.
  2. Review your page headings and calls to action for “power words” and SEO keyphrases.
  3. Add a new or updated image.

And for extra credit:

  1. Add relevant internal links to other site content to your posts
  2. Check your site for dead or changed links to edit
  3. Check for security updates on site plugins
  4. Unpublish or delete outdated content

…and of course, after making any changes, clear that cache!

Even if you don’t have an abundance of new content to show off, making small edits can help the site feel new and fresh to repeat visitors.
